Does it look natural?
Done right and healed, it reads as hair, not ink, even up close. SMP is thousands of tiny dots. The shade, the size of each one and the shape of the hairline decide whether they read as hair. That's the part Huber designs for you.
Is SMP a tattoo?
Yes. It's a cosmetic tattoo, done with specialized equipment and pigment made for the scalp, placed shallower than a regular tattoo. That's exactly why picking the right artist matters.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe it as mild discomfort, like light scratching.
How many sessions?
Usually 2–3, about a week apart. Each one takes 2–4 hours.
How long does it last?
Usually 4–6 years before a touch-up. The pigment fades gradually. Done with the right pigment at the right depth, it won't turn blue or green the way an old tattoo can.
Is there downtime?
You can go back to work the next day. Skip heavy sweating, sun and swimming for about a week after each session.
Will it work with my skin tone?
Yes. Huber blends the pigment to match your hair color and skin tone.
Can it cover transplant scars?
Yes. SMP can hide strip (FUT) scars and other scalp scars. Huber has a lot of experience with scar tissue.
I still have some hair. Will it work?
Yes. SMP can make thinning areas look fuller under short hair, or give a shaved head a full buzz-cut look.
Should I get a transplant first?
Some guys do SMP with a transplant, some instead of one. If you're still healing from a transplant, Huber may tell you to wait until it settles. Ask him on your call.
